Questions & Answers

Questions are the core building blocks of your quiz. Each question presents a set of answers the shopper can choose from, and every answer they select votes for specific products. Click any question in the left panel to open it in the editor.

Adding a question

Click Add question at the bottom of the left panel. A new question is created, saved immediately, and selected in the editor ready to configure.

Question settings

Question text — the main question shown to the shopper. Keep it clear and direct, e.g. "What's your hair type?" or "What's your primary hair concern?"

Subtitle — an optional line of smaller text shown below the question heading on the storefront. Good for adding context or guidance, e.g. "Select the pattern that best matches your natural hair".

Section — assign the question to a section. Sections group questions under a label that appears above the progress bar on the storefront. Manage sections from the Sections tab in the left panel. A question doesn't need a section.

Question type — either Single select or Multiple select. Single select advances automatically when the shopper picks one answer. Multiple select lets them pick several before clicking Continue. See Multiple Select for full details.

Layout — List (answers stacked vertically) or Grid (answers in a two-column grid). Grid works well for short answer labels or image-style answers.

Filter question — toggle to make this a filter question. When enabled, each answer defines a product scope, and products outside that scope are permanently eliminated from results at runtime — regardless of votes from other questions. See Filter Questions for full details.

Answer options

Answers are listed in the Answer options card. Each answer is a row showing its number, label, and any active badges — filter scope, Skip, Jump, or None.

Click the chevron on any answer row to expand it and access vote assignment, description, image, logic, and the None option.

Drag the handle on the left of any answer to reorder it. Click the × button to delete it.

Click Add answer at the bottom of the card to create a new answer.

Answer fields (expanded row)

Label — the text shown on the answer button on the storefront. Editable directly in the collapsed row without expanding.

Description — optional small text shown below the answer label on the storefront. Good for a brief explanation, e.g. "Lacks moisture, prone to breakage".

Image / Icon — only shown when the answer display style is Icons or Images. See Answer Styles.

Vote assignment — which products this answer votes for when selected. See Vote Assignment.

Skip / Jump logic — controls what happens to the quiz flow when this answer is selected. See Skip & Jump Logic.

"None" exclusive option — only available on multiple select questions. When toggled on, selecting this answer clears all other selected answers and prevents any other answer from being combined with it. See Multiple Select.

Reordering questions and answers

Drag any question in the left panel to change its position in the quiz. Drag any answer row within a question to reorder the answer options. Reordering doesn't affect vote assignments — it only changes the order things appear.

Saving

Click Save question in the sticky bar at the bottom of the editor. Both the question settings and all its answers are saved together. Nothing auto-saves.

To delete the question entirely, click Delete question in the same bar.
